Spring is peak trade show season for interior designers of all stripes; from HD in Vegas to contemporary design at ICFF in New York and the latter NeoCon in early summer. But the forerunner and longest running of American furniture and design is High Point Market in High Point, North Carolina. Established in 1906, the furniture exposition hall was first built in 1921 as a central feature of North Carolina industry and craftsmanship. We were primed for this assignment, so we packed our bags and headed South.
First day at High Point and it’s all about naturals, neutrals, and organic shapes.
Soft, sculptural forms meet raw textures and calming palettes with a touch pastel — soft and welcoming. Feeling inspired by the beauty of simplicity and the power of nature’s design. Beautiful hammered metals, the deft hand of woven fibers reflected a sense of sophisticated craft and materiality.
High Point Wrap Up: We're avoiding trends (exception made for the gorgeous lilac velvet sofa with peachy welt) and sticking with timeless naturals, neutrals, and effortless comfort! We saw some Art Deco influences reimagined with a fresh, modern spirit. ✨ From rich textures to soft, lived-in palettes, and a strong thread of Americana woven through, the vibe was grounded, welcoming, and full of comfort and style. Feeling inspired and ready to bring a little bit of that warmth and polish to YOUR interiors!
(and maybe a little freckle nose puppy to boot.....)
