Anthony is a driven visual creator – from architecture to photography and mixed media, he infuses his work with layering, color and energy. As Principal, Anthony works directly with owners and project teams to integrate the whimsical and the practical to deliver experience-oriented, functional spaces layered with materiality and color.  Anthony’s passion for creativity and quality drive his design process, and several awards reflect that energy, including the Woodwork Institute of America Award for the Village Hall at the Sauk Village Community Center. From small scale to cavernous, Anthony’s focus on the user experience helps direct each project, providing a clear path from conception through completion. Also, being a fiercely capable, long distance Bocce champion, Anthony has been known to traverse miles of the Chicago lakefront in pursuit of rolling perfect game!

Anthony’s wide range of experience incorporating the cohesive melding of architectural interiors and environmental graphics design provides a broad platform for a variety of projects completed throughout the United States. Some of his most recent projects include the adaptive re-use of a 180,000 square foot, former Post Office Distribution warehouse into a light-filled, lively and welcoming call center for BlueCross BlueShield in Abilene, Texas. The dynamic integration of architecture, lighting design and environmental graphics is on full display at the multi-building, 240,000 square foot space that zpd+a designed for Health Care Service Corporation’s offices in Naperville, Illinois,  creating a captivating, powerful corporate interior environment. Anthony also led zpd+a’s project team of architects, structural, mechanical and lighting design engineers on the award winning Sauk Village Town Hall; a unique structure that features an exposed, heavy timber, inverted king- post roof truss, accented by a light-filled, circular banding of clerestory windows.
