zpd+a is an established, Chicago-based, full-service architectural and design firm. We offer architecture, planning, space planning, interior design and corporate branding services for both new structures and adaptive re-use projects.
On occasion, our services will include offering our Clients an on-going set of Facilities Planning and Design services; acting as a seamless extension of their corporate planning and design staff.
JOB TITLE
Facilities Planning Coordinator - Nashville & Chicago Locations
JOB DESCRIPTION
Positions available in Chicago and Nashville. Candidate will be based on-site at the Client’s corporate office, located in either Nashville or Chicago. Work will be on-site 5 days a week to start and has the potential to become a 3 day in office/2 day remote as things progress. Candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills; and enjoy working within a group or one-on one environment and demonstrate successful problem-solving skills. Primary duties will include coordinating and/or overseeing internal programming, planning, and move coordination projects at the Client’s facilities. Having some familiarity with minor interior construction, systems furniture and systems installations is a plus. Candidate would be working as part of an established corporate Facilities Planning, Design and Management staff.
Responsibilities would include (but not limited to):
Provide Facilities Programming & Planning support services as needed within any Client properties.
Assist in overseeing internal move coordination duties.
Provide data input into client’s workflow systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Applicant should meet the following criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or MFA.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
Basic understanding of AutoCAD; ability to prepare quick test fit floor plans.
Onsite training of clients work flow system will be provided.
SALARY:
Initial consulting assignment will run through 06.30.2026; assignment may eventually evolve into a long-term, full-time position with the Client’s company.
Salary range: negotiable, based on candidate’s level of applicable experience.
