Halim Museum of Time & Glass
Evanston, Illinois
A private collection of late 19th century ecclesiastical stained glass and time pieces housed in this 25,000 sf, LEED Silver new constructions building in Evanston’s
landmarked neighborhood.
The lobby integrates the diverging themes of the collection, featuring dramatic large stained glass panels and a custom designed mosaic floor.
The glass and stone mosaic depicts clock gears and components with vibrant glass and stone, creating a dense graphic perimeter that dissolves towards the central reception desk. The sweeping glass staircase creates a dynamic passageway and viewing
platform.
