The HCSC/BCBS Regional Headquarters in Richardson, Texas is a 1.1-million-square-foot campus development located approximately 20 miles north of Dallas. zpd+a teamed with Dallas-based Corgan Architects — selected by developer Koll Development Company — to provide architectural interior design services for a facility designed to house 3,600 employees with master plan capacity for more than 8,000.

The campus comprises a seven-story office tower and an adjacent 15-story office tower with conference center. zpd+a worked closely with HCSC facilities planning and engineering staff to establish project goals, and with Corgan to develop efficient floor plans, circulation patterns, and stacking adjacencies across the full complex.

The design prioritizes health, energy efficiency, and natural light throughout — targeting LEED certification and reflecting the same workplace philosophy zpd+a has brought to HCSC/BCBS facilities across the country.
