Wrigley Building, Chicago, IL

The facade restoration at the pedestrian levels and interior improvements by the William Wrigley, Jr. Company are important investments in its corporate headquarters at the Wrigley Building in downtown Chicago. Construction of the nearby Trump Tower and Plaza development, significant changes in pedestrian flow and retail requirements all prompted the need for addtitional building upgrades and repositioning.

NAI Hiffman, as an agent for the Wrigley Building, retained zpd+a as the owner's representative overseeing all major phases of a five-year building reposition. Services included leading and coordinating the activities of the team that included architectural firm McBride Kelly Baurer, general contractor Graycor/Capital, lighting consultant HOK and the Northern Realty Group as the retail consultant.

The reconfiguration of the building's illumination is the most recent aspect of the project completed and can be viewed any evening of the year. (Photography: zpd+a)
